WE are pleased to be standing
Standard of Excellence TOF for the
2010 breeding season.
Standard is 59" tall, classified SILVER at 80points, with 9's in both type
and hindquarters. He has a lovely disposition and passes that along to his
offspring. He has sired numerous Futurity winners and sired
Lovely Lady RP, a 77 point
mare at the Oregon Inspections.
Standard of Excellence ("Stan") is the son of Standschutz out of Bluml.
He was selected second in the annual yearling selections in Ebbs,
Austria, with the same number of points as the first place yearling, Straden. Straden and Stan are 3/4 brothers. Straden continues to be the
top ST- line stallion in Austria. Stan was inspected and classified in
2003 with 80 points, the third highest classified stallion in the
American Haflinger Registry. Standard of Excellence TOF was named
the 2003 National Grand Champion Stallion. In 2004, Stan's filly foal
was the winner of the National Show Yearlings and the AHR Yearling
Futurity. In 2007, Standard of Excellence produced the winner of the AHR's S.I.P. Futurity. In the 2007 National Filly Futurity, his
fillies placed first and second. Standard of Excellence was the winner
of the 2007 Dressage at Devon Haflinger breed class, against three other
National Grand Champions.
Standard of
Excellence stud fee is
$600. Live cover only. Mare care is $6 per day. Here's a chance to get the service of a National Grand Champion close
to home!!!
)n 10/2009, we presented Stan
for his "Disposition and Trainability" test. This stallion had not been
under saddle until he came to DerHaflingerhof. With about 90 days of
training (over a six month period) we presented him in the "In Hand"
test. He received a "10" in Obedience/Manners, a "10" in Calmness
and a "10" in Trainability/Disposition. In the "Riding Under
Saddle" test he received a "9" in Obedience/Manners, a "10" in Calmness,
and a "10" in Trainability/Disposition. We were thrilled. He has become
a superior saddle horse. We are sure that his 2010 foals will have his
same abilities!!! The D&T judge remarked, "Horse showed aptitude and
wonderful disposition for having a short training period. This is an
exceptionally willing and well mannered horse. He shows expression but
accepts directions calmly. He is impressive."
